The story of the Wobbel

The Wobbel finds it’s origin in the Waldorf schools. With the Wobbel we present this classic balance board in a modern design and contemporary editions. Wobbel: The wooden toy that moves young and old.

The Wobbel stimulates balance and strength during play and use. In a playful way, but very efficiently, it supports physical awareness and balance. When using it as a training device, specific muscle groups can be isolated, while other exercises train big muscle groups. This goes for (young) children, adults and even the elderly.

The Wobbel is made with many layers of the best European beech wood (FSC), which are stacked and pressed under high pressure, and has a uniquely designed curve. There are several color options and can be fitted with natural wool felt or natural cork.
The Wobbel is because of its shape and looks the only toy that doesn’t need to be put away after playing with it. It looks great in every living room. It is designed for indoor use, but can be used outside with sufficient care

Origin of wood

Our wood comes from strictly controlled plantations, where replanting is guaranteed. Our beech wood comes from European FSC certified plantations. For Wobbels with special types of wood, we use intermediate layers of FSC European beech wood and carefully selected top layers of FSC certified and common types of wood from within and outside of Europe.

Origin felt

Our EKO wool felt is made from the best available natural felt from a local supplier. It is colored by nature. Our unique pressed felt for the Wobbel Pro, Starter and 360 is mainly made from recycled soft drink bottles, between 10 and 20 PET bottles per Wobbel.

Own workshop

All Wobbels are manufactured in Europe and finished in the Netherlands. After quality control, they leave from our own workshop in Amersfoort, where we work with people who are at a distance from the labor market.
